Hartill included this specimen as it was said to come from Java, but noted that it is not much different from a late Chinese Kai Yuan. In reality it probably is a late Chinese product, sent to Java as a trade item, possibly during the Song period. Cf Hartill CCC, p. 105, late type, #14.8 obverse and p.106, fig, a. reverse.
