Note:
Hartill (GCC, op. cit.) suggests that his original attribution of this coin to Emperor Tai Zong of the Northern Song Dynasty (in CCC) was erroneous (cf Hartill CCC #16.32 (not #16.42 as stated by Hartill GCC, p. 165)). In GCC he assigns it to his Java/Sumatra Group 1, based on the unpublished work of Bruce Griffith. However coins in Griffith's Group 1 were said (GCC, p. 162) to measure c. 22 mm, whereas this figured coin clearly resembles a full-sized Song coin at 23.9 mm, despite its weight being only 2.28 g, within the range claimed for Java/Sumatra copies of Song issues. Here this coin has been dated here as a Song issue since many genuine Song coins circulated in the region in later centuries.
