Dealer: "I cannot find out anything about the origins of this modern William Shakespeare medal. The initials G.V. appear under the bust, and surprisingly there is not an example of it it in the Heberden Coin Room of the Ashmolean Museum University of Oxford which has an extensive collection of medals referencing The Bard. I have made an assumption that its origins are Great Britain and I would also assume that it is from 1964, possibly the work of a talented student."
