                                                                                                                                                Hoard description The coin was purchased together with other 25 Ottoman coins, one Into-Portuguese coin, and 11 gold coins from Hormuz in Colombo and allegedly belonged to a hoard found in the neighbourhood of Kandy in about 1911-12 (see Codrington 1914)  |
