Design:

Full-length figure of emperor, bearded, wearing crown (with prependoulia), imperial tunic, collarpiece and loros, holding labarum and cross-topped orb. Hand of God blessing the emperor in upper right field

Note

Wroth suggests that this type was struck outside Trebizond (perhaps in Georgia) because of the inferior style and execution. Probably struck after the death of Manuel I. Bendall attributes specimens of this type to a possible secondary mint (Tripolis?)
