Note:
Barker (p. 249) figures a Trị Nguyên Thông Bảo 治元通寶 which Thierry (CMV, p. 89, Figure 1559) had considered as an issue of the rebel Lê Vãn Khoi, dating from 1833-35. However, Barker goes further than Thierry, illustrating this Trị Nguyên Thánh Bảo 治元聖寶 and noting its stylistic similarity to the other coin. Accordingly, HCR 58887 has been provisionally assigned here to Lê Vãn Khoi.
