Note:
With its long-arm 寶 with sharply angles shoulders and its 治 with the 氵shuǐ (water) radical having its lowest stroke short rather than cursively elongated, HCR 58904 does not conform exactly with any examples of illustrated by Hartill (GCC) or by Thierry (CMV, CMVS). A search on Zeno – Oriental Coins Database (https://www.zeno.ru/search.php?searchid=481623&cpage=2) , accessed 8 March 2021, shows several Trị Binh Thánh Bảo coins, but again none of them with this combination of characteristics. HCR 58904 therefore appears to be another unrecorded variety. The reverse is flat. The pale alloy may be of bronze or brass. No putative dating is currently available for this coin. As with many versions of the ‘An Phap’ and related unattributed small private issues, it might date from any time within the period c. 1540 - c. 1900.
