S C, Triumphal arch, showing garlanded front and left side; above, the Emperor in a quadriga escorted by Victory, holding wreath and palm, on right and Pax, holding caduceus and cornucopiae, on left; just below the quadriga on extreme left and right, two small figures of soldiers; on left side of arch in a niche, Mars, helmeted, standing facing, holding spear in right hand and round shield in left hand a round; ornamental reliefs on the faces and plinths of the arch
